A Poem for Sanga

Suave exterior was something you were born with!

Ambushing the oppositions was a walk by the beach for you!

Negating the swing and thwarting the spin, hook and pull were lollipops for you!

Gingerly you knelled the bowling to its prospective death!

Analysing every bits of the game to scheme a ploy to strangle teams- you were a Kaultilya of Cricket!

Kneading the balls and threading the field, you were the most elegant southpaw!

Knighted by the lords of cricket,

Armored with the an unflappable heart, you questioned authority with ballsy!

Rigorous in practice and vigorous in batting, you

Articulated your country to the whole world!
